Collaboration
Since the base of the feeding pole consisted of a steel construction, the collaboration came about with Willems Boven Leeuwen. They designed and produced this base. An electric motor with a winding winch was fitted to the top of the pole. Food can be hung from these poles at different heights. By hanging various types of food in alternating barrels and nets at different heights, it always remains challenging for the elephants! The winch works by remote control and the power for it is generated by a solar panel on top of the pole. The generated power can also be stored on a built-in battery.
