Work and learn or (graduation) internships

Huisman Etech Experts is an electrical family business with over 70 years of experience. We work on technically challenging projects within industry, maritime, utility, and sustainable energy. Do you want to work a large part of the time alongside your MBO education to gain the necessary practical experience and learn the tricks of the trade? As a recognized training company, we offer you the opportunity of a Vocational Education and Training (BBL) trajectory.
In a BBL trajectory, you opt for an education that consists of a combination of learning and working. During the education, you work 80% of your studies. This means that you go to school one day a week and work the rest of the week at Huisman Etech Experts.
We work, among others, with De Technische (ROC Nijmegen), Koning Willem I College (Den Bosch), de Leijgraaf (Veghel), and Rijn IJssel (Arnhem). In addition, as a BBL student, you can also contact us directly.
Huisman offers practical internships for students following an MBO education at level 2 or 3 in the field of electrical engineering, electrical engineering, or industrial automation. During your internship, you will carry out activities related to your (electrical) education. You always work under the guidance of a master. During the practical internship, you are part of a project team of one or more projects. These projects can vary in size and are carried out on various projects such as utility construction, panel construction, industrial installations, control and automation installations, maritime installations, and security installations.
For MBO level 4, we offer not only practical internships but also work placements in work preparation or hardware/software engineering and graduation assignments.
Do you want to retrain or further educate yourself to improve your position in the labor market? Do you want to follow an HBO education in the field of electrical engineering, electrical engineering, or industrial automation after your MBO education? Or do you want to work a large part of the time alongside your HBO education to gain the necessary practical experience? We offer you the possibility of an HBO part-time trajectory.
In an HBO part-time trajectory, you opt for an education that consists of a combination of learning and working. During this education, you work 60 to 80% of your studies. You are (usually) busy with your studies one day a week and the rest of the week working at Huisman Etech Experts.
We offer various (work) internship positions for HBO and wo students following an education in electrical engineering, electrical engineering, or industrial automation. We also offer internships to students following, for example, an education in ICT, business administration, or HR. Inquire about the possibilities! Many interns do internships in the hardware/software engineering department. In these departments, we design and program control processes and production lines in various sectors. We also have internship opportunities in departments such as inland shipping or maritime. Together we will determine which department suits you best.
During your (work) internship, you are part of a project team and work on one or more projects. The projects of our clients can vary in size and are carried out on various projects such as industrial installations, maritime installations, control and automation installations.
In addition to working on one or more projects, it is possible to carry out a research assignment (graduation internship). During your graduation, you work on a specific assignment in one of our departments. In consultation with your fixed supervisor, you will receive a suitable graduation assignment that you will largely carry out independently.
During your graduation internship, you will have a lot of freedom. For example, we offer the opportunity to create a complete prototype of a developed product after the design phase. This way, you will learn the entire process from A to Z. You will encounter obstacles where you will learn to think in a solution-oriented way.
