Lighting Engineer Maritime (luxury yachts)

What will you do as a Lighting Engineer?

As a Lighting Engineer Maritime, you ensure that luxury yachts are functionally, safely, and atmospherically illuminated with the latest techniques. Among other things, you will:

• Collaborate with the shipyard (our direct client) and translate customer wishes and technical issues into feasible solutions. In addition, you provide customers with open and honest advice on technical possibilities and choices;

• Discuss lighting plans with the customer, the owner's team, architects, and lighting consultants;

• Independently carry out engineering activities within maritime projects;

• Design lighting plans in Autocad, develop them into electrical diagrams in E-Plan, and prepare the corresponding technical documentation;

• Work on installations such as lighting systems, emergency lighting, and fire alarm systems within maritime projects;

• Assist in commissioning and contribute to the delivery of the yacht to the customer;

• Contribute to quotation processes and support service and after-sales projects.

What do you bring?

• A completed technical MBO-4 or HBO education, preferably in electrical engineering;

• Knowledge of E-plan and/or Autocad, Microsoft Office;

• You work in a structured manner, know how to set priorities, and enjoy a technical challenge;

• You are eager to learn and motivated to further develop yourself in the field;

• You are solution-oriented and flexible;

• You have a good command of the Dutch and English language, both orally and in writing.
