Huisman Etech Experts tackles the processing of organic waste such as food scraps at their source with the Swillgasser®, a compact fermentation system in the shape of a container that can be placed in restaurant kitchens or on farms. The fermenter storage tank stores organic waste, which is then bacteriologically processed via fermentation. This results in biogas and process water. Depending on the type of waste processed, the amount of digestate can be minimal or non-existent, ensuring that you make the most of your waste.
Huisman Etech Expert offers a sustainable and affordable solution for processing organic waste with the Swillgasser®. All used materials are converted into a new product after their lifespan in accordance with the cradle to cradle philosophy.
The strength of the Swillgasser® lies in the combination of an up-to-date system and the natural power of bacteria. The system is already successfully being used at the Van der Valk Hotel in Cuijk. In addition to environmental benefits, the fermentation system requires no management or supervision. The process is fully automatic, odour-free and has a quick processing time of a few days; how many depends on the scope and composition of the waste flow. Initially we sample the waste flow of each of our clients to determine which bacteria are needed (free of charge) so that we can offer a bespoke solution.
For the large-scale food processing industry and vegetable and fruit farmers with tonnes of waste per week, we developed another solution: the Greengasser. In this case the fermentation system is not a container but rather a silo or tank. Greengasser eliminates bothersome seagulls and polluting transport trucks, and facilitates social responsibility in business and the reuse of residual products. The solution is a contribution by Huisman Etech to product development and a more sustainable world.
The output of the Swillgasser® has three components:
Biogas. The polluter/user can directly use the biogas on site.
Process water. Can be used to spray crops or be deposited directly into the sewage system.
Digestate. The amount is minimal, but the digestate that is produced can be used as manure or be removed as green waste.
What is swill?
Cooking and food waste from large-scale kitchens is also known as 'swill'. Until now, this waste was often transported to large, central fermentation systems in tankers where it was used as a co-fermentation product. This is a costly process and the transportation involved has a negative impact on the environment.
Our SwillGasser® was presented by the RNCT in the production as indicated below.
Making progress means rediscovering yourself time and again: looking differently at things, starting afresh, making mistakes, and persevering in adversity. At the same time, the starting point in many cases requires reflection on how things can be done in a greener and more sustainable way: renewing with an eye on tomorrow, innovating for the next generation. Huisman Etech Experts takes its responsibilities seriously: on our own initiative or prompted by clients, we always work on the technology of the future.
Innovation means seeing, seizing and realising opportunities. A new innovation is only a solution 'once it has been successfully applied, and if it makes users lives easier in daily use. We have developed a broad package of electrical engineering solutions which do just that. The innovations we have developed ourselves include the Huisman Diagnostic System, Fundie, the SwillGasser and Parkobserver.Read more
Huisman is fully accredited in its field. The company is both a recognised KOMO installer and a licenced training company, and its various certificates reflect what Huisman stands for: craftsmanship, sound planning, delivering on promises, safety and reliability. For our customers the certification represents a guarantee that they can fall back on a central trade organisation in case of any problems or disagreements.
Huisman has the following certificates:
Huisman Etech Experts is aware of the obligation we all have to care for the world in which we live. This manifests itself in our everyday processes, as well as through the innovative products that we bring to the market. Here is a selection:
‘LEDs Go For It’ is a new initiative by Huisman Etech Experts to encourage the use and sale of LED lights.
Huisman Etech Experts has ordered two electrical Kangoos ZE (Zero Emission) and fitted an electric charging station. For more information, see our press release 'Huisman Etech Experts promotes electric driving in Maas & Waal'.
TAP (Thermo Acoustic Power) is a new development by Huisman Etech Experts. It transforms industrial residual heat to electricity. TAP can be fitted to industrial chimneys and extract residual heat from the exhaust gases. This can generate 800,000 kWh (the annual consumption of 200 households) per chimney from formerly wasted residual heat.
This is an innovative new product from Huisman Etech Experts which allows businesses to process their own residual waste into gas, which is then converted to electricity. A test assembly has been set up at hotel Van der Valk in Cuijk. Waste from the kitchen and restaurant is brought to the Swillgasser and transformed into gas and water by bacteria.
Huisman Etech Experts sells and fits solar panels.
Huisman Etech Experts has had a contract with SITA Afvalverwerking since 1 July 2011. Our waste is now processed in a way that is 100% CO2 neutral with new trees being plated to compensate for our waste processing. At the same time, we, of course, also separate our waste.
Hand in your used mobile phones at the sales desk in Druten and we will ensure that they are processed correctly.
Huisman Etech Experts employees carry out a lot of their work digitally and print as little as possible to spare the environment.
