Frames was founded in the Netherlands in 1984. Today it has six divisions: Flow Control & Safeguarding, Heat Transfer, Oil & Water, Gas Treatment, Integrated Solutions and Services. Headquartered in Alphen aan den Rijn, the company has some 500 employees worldwide, spread across 16 offices on several continents. Frames offers personal contact on a global scale.
ÒOur strengths are our people and our know-how. The atmosphere within the company is much like a family, and we are proud of what we do,Ó says Wilfred Straathof, production flow control & safeguarding manager. ÒAs a family of oil & gas solutions, we have a powerful drive and commitment to our clients, something we definitely share with Huisman.Ó
ÒFrames has a unique formula: we offer a comprehensive concept in the design and delivery of solutions for the international oil and gas industryÓ, Wilfred explains. ÒThis includes onshore as well as offshore and floater solutions. Our branches in North and South America, Europe, the Middle East and Malaysia support our sales activities. While these locations are close to customers, Frames products find their way to every corner of the world. Our branch in Brazil primarily supports the regional offshore sector, where our activities include supplying solutions for managing gas and oil wells on the seabed. A number of Huisman employees are stationed in Brazil.Ó
We have made our choice: Huisman. "Our partner in electrical systems work couldnÕt be just anyone - they had to satisfy high demands,Ó says Wilfred. ÒEverything we make me here is ATEX-certified in light of the explosion risk in the production locations. In Alphen aan den Rijn we develop and build hydraulic units, chemical injection systems and valve automation & HIPPS. These High Integrity Pressure Protection Systems ensure that the pressure in pipelines does not rise above a certain maximum level. Safety systems close off pipes from the source as soon as any danger is detected. There are different safety levels depending on the situation, and they are particularly high in the oil & gas industry.Ó Ruud Egberts, workshop manager at Frames, is very enthusiastic about the partnership with Huisman, which dates back to 2012. Ten or so Huisman employees are stationed with him. ÒOur company philosophies are very similar and we are both very committed to our clients.Ó Huisman takes care of the electrical engineering, including cabling, for Frames. Head fitter Bert van Tilburg has been in contact with Frames continuously from day one of the partnership.
Working for Frames requires knowledge and determination. ÒWe expect to click with a supplier,Ó Wilfred continues. ÒFurthermore, we require the installation to be sound, as well as safe and clean. We undergo continuous training and follow a variety of courses.Ó Bert agrees: ÒHuisman is one of only two electrical installation companies in the Netherlands to meet the AS/N2S 4.761 standard, which currently already applies in Australia. It is the highest achievable norm for environments in which there is a risk of explosion. This is proof that Huisman is capable of carrying out operational activities in this international and technically advanced market."

Huisman Etech Experts is aware of the obligation we all have to care for the world in which we live. This manifests itself in our everyday processes, as well as through the innovative products that we bring to the market. Here is a selection:
‘LEDs Go For It’ is a new initiative by Huisman Etech Experts to encourage the use and sale of LED lights.
Huisman Etech Experts has ordered two electrical Kangoos ZE (Zero Emission) and fitted an electric charging station. For more information, see our press release 'Huisman Etech Experts promotes electric driving in Maas & Waal'.
TAP (Thermo Acoustic Power) is a new development by Huisman Etech Experts. It transforms industrial residual heat to electricity. TAP can be fitted to industrial chimneys and extract residual heat from the exhaust gases. This can generate 800,000 kWh (the annual consumption of 200 households) per chimney from formerly wasted residual heat.
This is an innovative new product from Huisman Etech Experts which allows businesses to process their own residual waste into gas, which is then converted to electricity. A test assembly has been set up at hotel Van der Valk in Cuijk. Waste from the kitchen and restaurant is brought to the Swillgasser and transformed into gas and water by bacteria.
Huisman Etech Experts sells and fits solar panels.
Huisman Etech Experts has had a contract with SITA Afvalverwerking since 1 July 2011. Our waste is now processed in a way that is 100% CO2 neutral with new trees being plated to compensate for our waste processing. At the same time, we, of course, also separate our waste.
Hand in your used mobile phones at the sales desk in Druten and we will ensure that they are processed correctly.
Huisman Etech Experts employees carry out a lot of their work digitally and print as little as possible to spare the environment.
